The debut institutional solo exhibition of Sydney-based Japanese Australian photographer Sly Morikawa. It’s an exhibition that lets you ponder on the day to day of your own days and the people you meet.

Event 3: As Tragedy / As Farce
A new body of work by Melbourne-based Chinese artist Chunxiao Qu (pronounced: Choon-shyow Chew) exploring the fluidity of language, questioning uncertainty and beauty. It plays on the idea of history repeating; a moment once devastating morphs over time into an absurdist caricature. This historical duality of tragedy and comedy is a space of contemplative reflection, continuing the artist’s ruminations on love and heartache.

Where: 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art, 181-187 Hay St, Haymarket NSW 2000
When: Opening: Friday, 14 March 2025, 6pm - 8pm Exhibition: Friday, 14 March 2025 - Sunday, 27 April 2025
