The power of art lies in its ability to let us see the world from many perspectives. Liverpool is a place where our diversity is celebrated: we have some hard edges, and an under-celebrated beauty, but we are rich in culture and history. This exhibition uses art to showcases these many facets which inform the identity of Liverpool.

Event #2:

What: Queer PowerPoint w/ McKenzie Wark

Where: AGNSW

When: Tonight! Wednesday 11 Sept, 7:15pm

How Much: $27.00 non member, $23 concession, $20 member

Don’t miss cultural critic and author McKenzie Wark as she leads a stellar line-up of Queer PowerPoint at Art Gallery Cinema.

This cult-hit performance series invites queer artists to dive deep into their obsessions using everyone’s favourite (or least favourite) presentation software tool – PowerPoint. Wark will be joined by award-winning writer George Haddad, and Sydney ballroom icons Taimania Foa'i and Davina Chor. Hosted by Xanthe Dobbie and Harriet Gillies, each speaker will deliver a 10-minute performance lecture exploring any subject they like, accompanied by a PowerPoint presentation.

This event is part of an ongoing partnership between The Power Institute and Unfunded Empathy, produced by Thom Smyth.
