Wingnut is the moniker of Gadigal-based DJ Liam Taylor. With a penchant for the nooks, crannies and margins of dance music, Wingnut splices screwball electronica, fleeting melodies and reckless drum programming with a dubwise sensibility. Piecing together a murky psychedelia for the body and mind. Alongside Sydney stalwart ‘D-Grade’, Wingnut is also one half of ‘boof’, a semi-frequent (i.e. when they feel like it) DIY party devoted to all things left-field.
This mix is an ode to driving alone at night, weaving poetic melodies and bedroom glitch with a swaying psychedelia. A mix for after the party and being alone.
