This week we welcome local legend Mincy to the studio.
Dubbed Australia's queen of bass, Mincy continues to push the boundaries in the local music scene with her label Extra Spicy, and Dayshift, arguably Eora's best day party series.
Mincy is a sharp, fierce representative of heavy, fast and bass focused underground dance music, not only as a DJ, but as a label head, producer and promoter.
The last few years has seen her take charge at London’s infamous Fabric, Boiler Room, Boomtown Festival, Lost Paradise, Rhythm & Vines, Rhythm & Alps, Spilt Milk Festival national tour, Love Saves The Day, Field Day festival along with headlining sets in Barcelona.
She’s also completed multiple headline runs across the UK, Europe, Japan, New Zealand and Australia. Alongside her production and performances, Mincy also runs record label Extra Spicy.
The label has become an undisputed home for bass music in Australia, as well as hosting the first Australian Keep Hush stream. Beneath Extra Spicy also sits Dayshift, a three stage Sydney Music Festival co-run by Mincy, showcasing her passion for community and inclusivity.
As she continues to elevate her local community while showcasing it to the globe, Mincy is an act that will soon demand legacy praise.
