Experimental producer and DJ i cite ( Shamonni Galore) was known in Eora/Sydney for her curation of FBi radio’s Midday Mix. i cite plumbed novel ways of elucidating sound. Ranging across atmospheric down tempo and ambient, micro tech’s minimalistic drum patterns, the fluid streams of deep and hard techno, and hip hop and RnB sass. i cite’s sets were ripe with experimentation, obscure samples, oneiric vocals and even field recordings. She leaned into the sensuous nature of music as a movement-inducing passage of thought and dream while mindfully traipsing the line between involuntary acts of hearing and conscious practices of listening.
